Pascal Jude

Another life update worthy of its own blog post: WE HAD A BABY! Little Pascal Jude was born in November. He came on his own time in his own way, which dubbed him the nickname 'Pascal the Rascal.'

He has brought us so much joy in his short time on earth. I cannot imagine not having him in our life & are so grateful for this healthy little baby. He is over three months old now and keeps us entertained with his smiles and babbling conversations.

Some of my favorite photos from the past few months (so hard to choose, so I stuck with ones of the good camera!):

Chase us to DC!

So, kind of a lot has happened in the past few months, hence the lack of updates on the site. One of the biggest changes is that we moved to the East Coast a few months ago for a job opportunity for Max. This was one that we couldn't pass up because it was a video based job, one that fits a lot of his wants and desires for his career that we were just not finding back in Minnesota.

Although we miss our family and friends back in the Midwest dearly, we are really enjoying life out here in Washington DC. There is something appealing to us in the big city culture -- lots to see, and lots to do. We have been having fun exploring the city and will have to share some of our favorite places with you.

This of course means that we are now based out of DC for wedding films and other related ventures. Max is happy to travel, though, so keep us in mind for your wedding, no matter the location!

John & Tatum

What do you get when you mix a gorgeous farm in Southern Minnesota, a bunch of pregnant bridesmaids, and one fun couple?  Spoiler: you get this wedding, right here.

John and Tatum's wedding was full of laughter and lightheartedness from the morning until the evening. Both bride and groom were laid-back for the entirety of the day, which made it such a joyful event. Their carefree attitudes made it easy to capture their story on film.

One of the highlights of the day had to have been their getaway vehicle - a John Deere tractor, which made for some great wedding day puns. The couple also stopped for ice cream after their wedding ceremony, because, well, why not? From there, it was an epic barnyard reception for the rest of the night.

Be sure to check out their wedding film, here:

Two Years

Red Lipstick | Chasing Haben
Watermelon Shirt | Chasing Haben
Northern MN | Chasing Haben
Lake Superior | Chasing Haben

Last night, we celebrated two years of wedded bliss. Well, okay, more like almost two years of wedded bliss after we subtract the minutes of stupid arguments that we excel at getting into.

We went up the north shore of Lake Superior to a favorite restaurant of ours that is designated to very special occasions. The weather was perfect, and we succeeded in having an extremely pleasant date (we have some horror stories). We looked at some of our wedding photos, talked about our favorite moments of the last year, and covered some practicals for the upcoming year, like life insurance and a will for baby. Adulting don't come easy!

Thank you, my husband, for being so good at loving me. We are two crazy individuals that somehow complement the other person's crazy. Marriage is hard work but the most rewarding gig on the planet.

Here's to many more years!

Chasing Haben is pregnant!

We are so thrilled to announce that the Chasing Haben team is growing from two to three this year!

Beginning in November, we will be chasing a little bebe around and couldn't be more excited. We see children as the ultimate gift of our marriage union, born and created out of our love. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we prepare to welcome a little one at the end of the year.
